Sandy Balls Holiday Village is a five-star award-winning site set in the heart of the beautiful New Forest and has welcomed tens of thousands of guests to its Centre since opening its doors more than 90 years ago.

The park offers visitors a number of leisure facilities, hospitality venues and a well-stocked Country Store to make dining and catering easy during a relaxing holiday.

Fidelity were approached by the park to deliver a real time EPoS solution that would work across all areas including leisure, as their previous EPoS system was fragmented across their different venues. Sandy Balls also wanted to introduce a loyalty system which would be future proof and could be upgraded to a full cashless solution in the future. Fidelity's Instant Loyalty/Cashless was the perfect answer.

Given the broad spectrum of outlets including retail, restaurants, bar, activity centre, bike hire and leisure facilities including beauty, Fidelity introduced touch screen terminals operating Fidelity's GPoS software with appropriately configured screen layouts for each location.

This customisation not only enabled efficient customer service at each outlet it also reduced training time if staff moved into different areas as all the touch screens followed the same operating process.

All of the touch screen sales data is then fed into Total Control Premier back office software in real time. This program combines all management information for the park in one place enabling the efficient completion of everyday management tasks such as stock control, price changes and performance reporting.

This advanced functionality was further developed for Sandy Balls to support their Nisa franchised retail outlet and resulted in the creation of a seamless ordering interface between Total Control Premier at the store and the Nisa replenishment systems.

Instant Loyalty is currently used to reward "Platinum Club" members (owners of "Vista" Lodges) for making their purchases on site as opposed to competing outlets in the local vicinity. This operates simply by members swiping their card when making purchases at the different outlets and the correct discount scheme is then automatically applied.
